The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is due to come into force on 25 May 2018 and all pension scheme trustees need to be aware of the changes that will affect them.

There will be a number of changes from the existing data protection regime, not least a significant increase in the maximum level of fines for breaches. These are set out in our helpful GDPR Guide for Pension Trustees and are summarised in our GDPR at a Glance for Pension Trustees. Click here to see these documents.

Trustees should act now to ensure compliance before GDPR comes into force.

Please speak to Michael Collins, partner in the Pensions Unit, or your usual Gateley Plc Pensions contact, if you require assistance with taking steps towards GDPR compliance.
